How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Students enjoyed
Great idea with the little box. Children really enjoyed. Colour poem was great. Found the poem writing more challenging this time. Really enjoyed previous packs as could easily link new learning into other areas.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Haven't received but it gives it purpose. Writing for a definite audience
This was an amazing resource and initially I thought the word idea didn't really let the poems flow but as we got onto it I realised how it made the children search for better vocabulary and evaluate words and whether it was the correct meaning and usage. Valuable learning happened and we went on to extend our colour poems and poems about other objects, Some powerful writing was created so thank you School Kit developers. Looking forward to receiving our exchange poems.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? The sense of responsibility to another class was important.
We loved the tin of goodies. It really sparked their imagination, especially the kids who usually struggle to have ideas. The steps with the colour poem first really helped prepare us for the challenge. This format will be one I use again - thanks.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? The kids were excited to know their writing was being sent to another school to be read and discussed by children other than their classroom audience, and they are looking forward to getting writing from other children within New Zealand. Thank you for a
We loved the range of writing activities included in the pack. I will definitely use these ideas again. The objects generated lots of thoughts. With the younger age group, we had lots of discussions to help make word connections to the objects and add sticky words to our vocabulary bank. The spaces on the postcards to write the words were very tricky for my year 3/4s. We managed.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? good thanks
A fantistically rounded kit allowing ALL children to contribute no matter what their language levels. A great exploration into language uses and a well resourced kit to boot. chur school kit and warehouse stationery.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? The kids love the excitement of waiting for a package. It's great to be able to look up the school and find out some things about the area in NZ. Putting together the puzzle is a challenge but last year my class felt very proud when they completed it.
A great kit. As a teacher I love the stationary. It is always VERY exciting when a school kit arrives. The students loved the contents of the tin and were very engaged in their learning. Such a great idea to connect with another school and I know my class are very eagerly awaiting the arrival of their buddy schools work :)

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? - It was exciting to receive mail and read the postcards - We enjoyed learning about our partner school and comparing what they had written to what we had written
These are comments made by the students - We learnt how to write a poem that uses sticky words - We were engaged during the activities and learnt how to look out for and learn new sticky words - We collaborated together as a class - We worked together as a team to solve a puzzle - We used some of our key competencies such as participating, relating to others, contributing and thinking - We showed curiosity about our partner school - We displayed creativity with our poem and our decorating of the postcard

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? It gave purpose. Can't wait to get our mail!
My students totally loved doing this!! As a teacher the lessons were easy to follow and inspired the students. There was still freedom around the lessons which was great.
