How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? It gave it purpose but other than that I don’t think I did add much value.
Some good activities and ideas but was a complicated lesson plan and hard to follow at times. Loved the idea of sticky words but needed more clarification. Also the idea of rhythm and arranging random words into a poem was a little bit abstract for my year 4 class.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? The students were very excited to receive a set of postcards from another class. They enjoyed comparing and contrasting their ideas with those of the paired class.
Overall, the students enjoyed the process of creating their own poem and writing a postcard to be sent to another class. The teaching and learning activities were interesting, although quite time-consuming. This would be a good activity to do in any term other than term one, as balancing the demands of this project with the beginning of the year was difficult at times.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? It was great to have a purpose and audience for writing where the students knew that their work would be viewed by another school. The activities in this unit were engaging and also provided opportunity to look at the location of the school our postcards
Fantastic opportunity A+

Was a bit tricky for our Year 3/4 group this year. The teacher notes were great thanks.

If you are looking to do an activity that is going to get the most reluctant writers going, look no further! Students are finally writing quality and not worrying about the quantity, understanding language features, and engagement it high. I couldn't recommend this kit more. Get on board!

We love the kit and great ideas, just getting started since coming back from camp, can't wait to see the end products and seeing the kids get more excited.
