In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? The kit linked well to writing - writing instructions on how to plant seeds, explanations of what seeds and plants need to grow and keeping a observation dairy. For part of science we are also looking after class garden beds so it was perfect to link all

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Science- continuing to learn about plants. Health- nutrition and garden to table programme. Writing- keeping observation diaries.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The students learnt about nutrition and the importance of eating vegetables and fruit. We learnt about the process of garden to table.

“This has been my favourite school kit resource so far! My students absolutely loved it and were excited to learn about it throughout the term. The codes were amazing to introduce what we wanted to learn about and gave them knew skills in their reading/writing. The pledges and badges were a great reward and a reminder of the little garden league that they were so proud to be a part of. The packaging was great and the shipping was well timed with everything else going on.”

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? There are so many segways to take with this learning kit...pollination/bees, food prep, hygiene, history, food forests

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? It was a great platform for trying new fruits and vegetables...ones they don't normally eat. We learned that sometimes things that we don't absolutely love the taste of are so beneficial for our bodies so it is worth it. Other things some were very suspic

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Speaking and listening - sharing ideas and caring for plants, Literacy - letters to HQ, solving codes, playing the vegetable match game and creating our own vegetable match game. Science - caring for plants, how they grow, importance of light, water, etc.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We are going to work on planing flowers next term, swan plants to attract butterflies and sunflowers which we will monitor via maths (measurement).

“This was amazing to do with our Y2 students. The codes and the secret club was a great idea and they completely loved it. We did so much learning around healthy eating, caring for plants and measurement. They loved completing their applications and solving codes from hq. A huge thank you to New World for the Little Garden plants. We even acquired gardening gloves and a watering can which we loved to use.”
