In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? This kit has been a super tool to integrate with the various subjects across the curriculum. We have used the potatoes as maths problems, written countless stories about the characters as well as the process and even had great fun with veggie art!

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? - Science! And how plants grow, what is involved and different aspects of a plant - Patience!!

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Veges are the new coolest thing! From coming up with ideas of how to make others enjoy them, to making edible art with them, our children have loved taking their learning home.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We had some awesome science based writing in our new entrant class. We made predictions about what might happen with the plants and what they would need to grow.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Maths and measurement--when the plants grow a little more (we have some slow sprouters and some quick ones) we can use the helpful measurement on the plant display to learn about measuring objects. I'm also hoping to encourage some visual arts relating t

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? When we planted the vegetables we looked at what different vegetables they were and how it was really important to eat vegetables to give us energy and look after our body.

We have been measuring the daily growth for maths, writing stories, reading facts about vegetables, learning what nutrients are in the different vegetables, learning how plants grow and the names o

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The kids have learnt a lot a bout vegetables including those they have never heard of. We have discussed 5 plus a day and why it is important to eat vegetables. They are looking forward to eating them!

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We incorporated learning from the School kit into our writing activities as well as our maths. We measured how tall our veggies grew and used descriptive words to write in a scientific report.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? I did not use this to promote healthy eating- we used it to support learning about the life cycle of plants.

They loved having hands on activities to partake in, and learned a lot about responsibility while growing their vegetables. This kit was engaging and extremely successful with my students. In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We were learning about plants and how they impact the environment in regards to bees etc. So we looked at bees, which led to waterways, forests and their own home gardens. So much oral language and writing.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Looking at what we could do to provide a sustainable garden to feed our school families

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Nutrition and understanding the importance of eating healthy. How easy it is to actually grow your own vegetables.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? So a lot of my students hadn't tried different the different veges. So I brought some in for them to try. It was brilliant for them to try things they didn't even know about.
