How effective was this kit in promoting healthy eating in your classroom?
In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? For Literacy we have done lots of reading about growing vegetables and eating different foods including food in different cultures. We have written stories about foods we love, about healthy lunch boxes and we have enjoyed a visit from Harold and the Life
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We are really excited about design thinking with the digital curriculum at the moment so would love some more opportunities to look at this. Thanks School Kit you are absolutely amazing and we love love love receiving your awesomeness.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? As part of having the Little Gardens we ate our way through the alphabet exploring lots of lovely new foods that are healthy and nutritious. The kids are doing lots of talking and exploring with their lunch boxes about what they can include in their lunch
The class absolutely loved and are loving the Little Gardens in our classroom. We still have them in our Classroom and are busy getting them ready to be planted out in our schools big vegetable garden. The children took their task of applying to be part of the Little Garden League very seriously and we loved the tasks involved in applying to be part of this. The children love wearing their badges but we have found many of these have broken easily along the way. We love the range of activities that we can do across the curriculum as part of having the Little Gardens in our class.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Science - plants, Technology - the process of growing food sustainably and best practice, Literacy - writing about their experiences and reading journal articles about similar experiences (especially in Connected science journals)
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Many children have become more willing to participate in our Garden Club at school and plant and maintain vegetables in our school garden. Children would like to learn about the origins of edible plants and how humans came to develop them etc.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? From above review: A number of children who said they usually hated vegetables said they were at least willing to try them a little more as they now understood how healthy and important they were and were also keen to eat vegetables that they had grown t
This kit was excellent as it gave some great health learning opportunities that were delivered through real life experiences. Unexpectedly for me the children were really into this project and were really motivated to plant, grow and talk about vegetables. The online resources were really helpful in as was the fact this was also something they did at home and school, as many children brought extra plants from home that their parents had acquired from New World. All vegetables have been transferred over to our school gardens and will eventually be harvested and given to the needy in our St Mary's church community. We already do this through other vegetables grown in our school garden and donations from parents. Children also really liked the idea of joining a club and receiving special coded secret messages. A number of children who said they usually hated vegetables said they were at least willing to try them a little more as they now understood how healthy and important they were and were also keen to eat vegetables that they had grown themselves.

Absolutely wonderful resource. The secrecy and intrigue captured the children's attention. They have taken on the responsibility of caring for their plant reminding others if necessary.
