What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We counted how many seeds we planted, how many plants sprouted, we talked about seasons and looked at and read books about healthy eating.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We were very excited to show what veges we had in our lunch boxes. We did drum rolls on the table every time someone had a vege we planted.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? We looked in our lunch boxes to see if we had any veges that we were growing.

“We loved our little gardens. We were so excited to open the packaging to find out what our special surprise was. We shared the love with our buddy class so that our big buddies could help us as we are only 5. Thanks you school kit. You make learning super fun.”

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Our vegetables are not yet at the harvesting stage. We have bought in some of the vegetables from the supermarket (carrot, lettuce etc) and used them as a Fun Friday activity to prepare and taste in a salad. Children have really enjoyed discussing the veg

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? The students especially enjoyed the addition of the stickers and the badges with the different vegetable characters. It lead to some great discussions around the vegetables represented and whether the children had heard of or tried them before.
