During the final term did an inquiry unit regarding Māori Gods. We made links to rongomātāne. We also linked this unit to measurement. At the end of each week the students would measure the growth of their plant and keep a record.

Alongside lunch in schools this has helped to promote healthier eating. They are able to identify the different vegetables in their kai which has made them more intrigued to try it.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables?
At the beginning most students were only able to identify lettuce, carrot, potato and kumara. Through the progressions of this kit they have become much more familiar with a range of vegetables available to them.
