How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Being a Catholic school, respect is already one of our values and themes constantly emphasised throughout the year. This kit really helped reinforce this theme and helped us to teach this is a different way. The scenario cards were great for discussion.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The students learnt about how to join in, how to be kind and look out for others, words to use to express their feelings, words to use to encourage and how to play fairly.

They learnt how to invite others to play or ask to play and words to use. We did some role play around how we could do this .

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Some great supporting strategies to support prosocial behaviours - such as breathing tools, waiata, story telling and role playing. These gifted my children language to use each and every day.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? After 2 lockdowns, we had a school wide focus on wellbeing and positive relationships - the tools in this kit were easily integrated as a supporting resource. We found a fresh and deep appreciation for our class relationships.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? I'm not too sure to be honest. It is something some children have and some still struggle with.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? I think it has been something that we can continually come back to. In many ways coming back post COVID and then going into it again being in Auckland, really disrupted many of the initial relationships built. It was like starting over trying to build up

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? It helped them to understand that even though they may have different ideas what they actually want out of most conversations is someone to 'listen'.
“Unfortunately the kit was really hard to follow. The resources looked awesome but there wasn't enough information/direction on how to use them etc.. We discussed this in a team meeting and the other teachers found the same so we were unable to use it correctly. It did however get us doing more relationship building activities and having those conversations with our classes which was great amongst the lockdowns this year.”
