How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? My children are more likely to include others in their activities and a less likely to complain if they are partnered up with someone they don’t normally interact with.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? My kids were open to take on board the suggestions/activities included in the kit. The kit encouraged my children to put others feelings first, to become aware of others differences and how thy are special unique.

My class really responded to the playtime project and went out of their way to initiate play and interactions with children they would not necessarily interact with in normal situations. The kids could identify themselves with the examples included.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? It is always a work in progress but as soon as we bring back in the battery it reminds my class of all the things we have talked about.

We talk a lot about relationships in our class and how to play/get along with others so the kit was another tool I had to provide examples, discussion points and visual reminders of how relationships should work.

As we are an ILE with 85 children and only one kit, we made some adaptations but used the principles underpinning this project

Due to children living in such a digital age I feel this was the most powerful part of the kit. They also really engaged with creating their own poems to share with each other.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? I think taught alongside other skills it has helped the children see different perspectives. It has been important for kids to see that everyone is different and that is ok.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? It has helped my less to look out side their own little group of friends. And fitted and beautifully with the coaching we were doing around feelings and Covid.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The sticker charts we such fun. The colour differentiation help me to see who needed encouragement to widen their friendship circles.It also helped to identify those who needed extra coaching on how to makes friends.

“I found this kit to be very useful to focus on whole class behaviour and relationships. My junior class particularly liked the traffic light. It was easy for them to relate to and talk about red, orange and green light behaviours, they could explain each one and understand what they meant. We now use this terminology in class regularly. They may say. ";that is red light behaviour, we don't do that";. Or ";that is green light behaviour";.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Students have been willing to change their friend group and who they play with which has helped developed some wonderful friendships in and outside or class.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Yes students are willing to include others more. They talk respectfully to one another with ease and can often give or take on advice about their relationships.

They connected with how people have talked in the pass and discussed ways they could solve the problem or found another way to talk to others calmly and happily. The recharging station was great as

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Entertaining the idea that an individual can make a difference by what they say and do. At level 1 tamariki are often focused on themselves but the leading questions and connection with home learning was good.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Connection with reading and how this relates to oneself. Dice great. Taking turns, game playing on field and off. Good gains made here.

“This kit arrived just at the right time! There were a few issues happening in class, and the children were very responsive to the activities. They learnt that developing positive and respectful relationships is an important part of their emotional and social development. I found that teaching students about positive and respectful relationships encourages them to reflect on their current relationships and supports them as they form new ones.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? We are in a collaborative class so there were many personalities and anxieties around covid to work with. We have started Garden to Table and we found that working in the garden was a wonderful way to practise respectful relationships.
