The coloured dots helped hugely in developing different relationships within the class and finding things they had in common with children they hadn't really played with before, great conversations were developed and I noticed a greater depth of relations

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? We shared our learning with the school and showed how we have been working on positive relationships. We put up envelopes on the window and put notes into them when we noticed others being kind and caring. We are learning that everyone is valued.

Being able to visually see with the poster helped my kids to think about who is in their world and why we should respect these different people. The dice gave great conversation starters and writing ideas for the kids as well. Friedships were a big issue

The Playground project has been great for breaking down the 'scared or rejection' 'not sure 'not sure what to say' or any other reasons why they may feel it is difficult to approach others. “this kit was a hit with my class. We loved the playground sticker activity. This made them very aware of who they spent a lot of time with and who they didn't . They made a conscious effort after the first few days to try and include more people or simply play with diferent kids. They loved the visual of the stickers and this helped them to understand the concept. We also enjoyed the conversation prompts and the family by in with the post cards. These create some great debating opportunities in our class.”

They now all have a friend. Students were struggling to ask if they could play and this is something that has been developed. Great for social skills and self managing as well as noticing ot

“I loved this kit - it was a great way to discuss relationships and plaining fairly, including others etc. The play lunch project was a huge success for the children in my class as some kids were new to school and were finding it difficult to make friends, so it meant they had to approach others and ask them to play. One boy who has ASD and only ever plays with himself built up the courage to include others in his play and form some friendships.”
