How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? We all needed to reconnect and be aware of how each other and even ourselves were feeling. It also provided us with strategies to check in with ourself and others and respond appropriately.

Good reinforcement of classroom rules and being kind and respectful to others especially coming back after a big break for Covid Was nice to pick up the booklets that they started the day before lockdown and continue again with them.

Children talked about using gentle hands to play and children that shared with them and included them in their play. At the end of each session we had a showing and talking circle where we talked about who we played with and who gave us stickers.

“This kit was ";timely"; for my classroom, particularly on return from lockdown when things were different and I wanted to particularly focus on relationships. I was able to unpack feelings (alongside Zones of Regulation) and this gave students an appreciation for how others were feeling post-lockdown - we did some role plays around these feelings using some of the recommended readings from the kit.”
