The children are aware of their diverse needs and requirements in their interpersonal relationships and have greater understanding and respect for this. The drama aspect gave them opportunities to explore and express this in a way that was fun and safe.

“This kit was great post lockdown. With the students coming from 7 weeks of no social interactions with their peers, this was the perfect kit to build those relationships again. My class in-particular enjoyed the Play lunch Project, and enjoyed building relationships with students whom they didn't socialise with normally.”

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? This has helped us build a trusting, safe classroom environment. This has been especially important post lockdown. We have also taken time to do this. There has been less curriculum pressure this term.

“Ties in really nicely with our own values we have at school and with being a PB4l school. The playground programme enabled them to really make connections in a big class they wouldn't normally do. Love the maths tokens, they have been invaluable and will continue with the class battery. Ties in really nicely with the zones of regulation as well.”

Some of the concepts were hard for the children to grasp as many of the children in the class are still very much focused on their own wellbeing, and their own needs, wants and feeling

“This kit had numerous resources and teaching ideas to enhance the relationships in classes. My class thoroughly enjoyed the Playground Project, and they took it very seriously! The skills the children learned by playing with different people flowed through to the classroom spontaneously. Other aspects of the kit will be integrated into our class and they work extremely well with our School Values.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Students are now more aware of ways to be a good friend, in saying this, they are still learning as they are only 5! Thanks for a great kit.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The kit enabled children to connect with one another and helped to foster and develop the forming of new friendships which was lovely. The children really looked forward to swapping their stickers each day.

Have a really nice culture, everyone knows each others names, (have had 3 new students post lockdown) and the lovely way they are greeted and cared for because of the build up of empathy and knowing what a good relationship is.
