How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The students were able to visualize what respect is and what it sounds like through discussions.
It was great. However, it took a while to work out what to do with it and how best to fit it in each day. Fortunately our school had switched our timetabling after Covid so I had spare time each afternoon to focus on discussion time and PB4l values.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Got them to think about what a respectful relationship looks like and how this could be shown.
Some of my students were finding it a little difficult to settle back into school life after Covid so the kit was pulled out to work on together. With the sticker chart, I was able to quickly see who needed more prompting and encouragement by their peers to join in. We are a play based class so it didnt take long for the children to remember what we need to do and to encourage their peers to join in if they saw them sitting alone or playing by themselves. This term we will be joining up with a buddy class and introducing our respectful relationship kit with them.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Working with another class in the school which was also enrolled in the Respectful relationship kit has meant that the classes have worked together and learned about each other. They really enjoyed the Play lunch Project.
The students loved the resources that were provided, particularly the A2 sized school map. The students identified with characters on this and through the main story. They were invested from the beginning, and the whole process of the class being sent something also really excited them. The activities were well thought out, and provided me as a teacher with new and exciting ways to introduce the vocab and the topic to the class. It did take a bit of work on my part to plan out how I would use the activities to best work together and in what order. It was less prescriptive than other kits I have used, but still very user friendly.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The children are still developing in this area and need more time and more conscious understanding of respect tieards their peers, teachers, friends and families.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? It makes kids more aware amd heightens reactive kindness towards others.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Children have now further developed an understandimg tjat not everyone feels the same at the same time... everyones batteries are not being charged and that relationships need to be constantly reviewed and we need to be respectfull of feelings.
The students really enjoyed going out in the playground with their respectful relationship cards. They were keen to discuss their findings with the class.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Loved the way they took action and played with others who they wouldn’t normally play with.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Such a nicer way of building up different friendship groups. Helped to include those who have “no friends” and those who are new to the school.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? These students were able to explain how we ply with others, how to invite others to play and this showed during play based learning activities and during circle time when they explained who they played with.
This was such a great kit to use with the class especially after being stuck learning from home for weeks! The only thing that would’ve been a little helpful was more details around the teaching of the kit. It was vague in parts which made it hard to understand the best way to teach each part. Although the website was a little handy. Any way the kids love charging their batteries and we have lots of positive conversations around respectful relationships in and outside our classroom each day! Thank you!! :u1F970:

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Please see comment above about lunchtime clubs. It's also been key in helping our learners to realise that different perspectives are ok.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Children have been talking with different students and discovered they have common interests, so have made a start on creating lunchtime clubs to share their interests with others- my Year 2 class is now leading lunchtime clubs for Beyblades, netball, art

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? We have had some issues with changing friendships in our class, the question cards in the kit were great for helping to define what a good friendship is and helping our learners to understand that having more than one best friend is ok!
I loved the range of resources and options that came with this kit. It gave plenty of scope for discussions in the class and it was ideal when we came back out of lockdown. The battery was a terrific resource coming back in- we discussed how we can support each other and were able to use it as a quick indicator of how people were doing throughout the day, me included! We used the sticker activity as part of our learning around change and took it on as a social experiment- when reviewing as a class the students were positive that conducting this experiment made a difference to how our classroom felt, in a good way. The resources will be continued to be used throughout the year. We have done a lot of talking, done reading and writing, incorporated it into our maths programme along with the primary focus on health and wellbeing.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Activities which promoted discussion.
My kids loved the play time challenge where they had to play with everyone in class. It started some new friendships and discussions about happiness at school and what each one can do to contribute. The wonderful resource of the sticker booklets made it easy for the kids to follow and keep the goal in mind. So highly appreciated. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to participate in the rest of the activities yet but I am planning to use them in the upcoming term. I am looking forward to what will come from this. Thanks.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? My older children became more helpful and co-operative with others. One area I noticed this was working together to pack up. I am hoping that working with the kit further in Term 3 the NE children will become more helpful in this way also.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? In the past I have had children (at Year Two) say things like, ";It's ok, she's my mean friend"; and I think this kit goes a long way to dispel that notion in a respectful manner.
A good kit and came at a great time for students.
