“The respectful relationships have been amazing for my classroom. My students are including each other who they never use to before. The students are also playing with other students who they didn't before. It is nice to see all students being included in my classroom. My students also love the battery and coming in every morning and putting where they are if they are ready to learn.”

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? Hugely. It is perfect for a beginning of the year activity.

How have the components of Respectul Relationships helped develop your student's understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Most of the components were a bit above my 5 year olds, but the stickers and the personal sticker charts are a huge hit.

“This kit was a great tool to start the new school year with a class that was new to each other as well as being a BT. It introduced positive behaviours not only for the playground but for building positive relationships within the classroom. As a class, we now have communication pockets so that everyone can give each other compliments in written form as well as verbal, and the students love receiving their positive notes. We had a few friendship issues across the team and this resource was a great help.”

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? In some aspects of our classroom community, it has helped and has provided things we can always refer back to.

How have the components of Respectul Relationships helped develop your student's understanding of what a respectful relationship is? I had hoped they would get on board with the Playlunch project, but they did not show much interest in expanding their friendship circle to include others or to spend time with people not their friends.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? We didn't do the playtime activity as I am already on 3 lunch duties so didn't see how this would work. It definitely helped students give compliments, display empathy, and show respect to each other.
