“This has been a fantastic kit at promoting positive relationships, leading to a noticeable change in students mindset and focus on thinking about others and led to increased prosocial behvaviours. Activities were very useful and led to change in way we think/talk. We have become 'battery fillers', combining 'bucket filling' with the battery analogy.”

How relevant has this kit been with maintaining/establishing/reestablishing classroom relationships during Covid? We talked about doing what someone else wants to do over your own wants and that can help you discover things you like that you didn’t know you liked.

“The students responded really well to the activities in the kit and we had some wonderful discussions about the playground scenarios. They loved the class battery and it fits in really well with bucket filling that we have done in the past. we still use it every week. The play lunch project was a fantastic way for students to start playing with other students in the class. I will definitely do something similar again next year for my new students.”

“Once again another brilliant kit. I found I needed to spend quite a bit of time with this kit. My students really needed this! Especially towards the end of the year when they are tired and over it! I needed to make it more at new entrant level as most of my students are brand new to school. A fabulous resource though!”

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? The children were very enthusiastic to collect stickers from all their friends and then realised that they could collect stickers from everyone who they played with. This was very powerful.

“My children love to load/ energise themselves after lunch and stand on the carpet piece breathing and being mindful and reflective; Then they talk about what they have seen in the playground, what they notice about others and how they have helped others get help, find friends, find a teacher or help them by energising them by being kind, friendly, supportive and asking helpful questions . great resource. Many thanks.”

“We used the kit as part of our health inquiry which also included Pause Breathe Smile. We are also in our second year of implementing PB4L. The kids loved the play lunch project and it really encouraged children to notice others and make an effort to include new people in their play.”
