How has this kit influenced your classroom community? I can personally see a change in my boys and the way they communicate with one another. Before this unit I was struggling with the boisterous competitiveness that the boys portrayed in their play.

How have the components of Respectul Relationships helped develop your student's understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Attendance has been hard on our whanau and the communication between us has been extremely difficult.

How has this kit influenced your classroom community? We have continued to talk about what we need to do to charge someone's battery and the class battery even though we don't use the tokens anymore(it was too hard trying to do this and our school reward system).

How have the components of Respectul Relationships helped develop your student's understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Covid is not having an effective on the class apart from when children are away. It is just normal to the 5 year olds.

The poster and story that went with it were good as the children found that relatable and we had a number of discussions around that. A number of the other activities were a bit too hard. The videos were good as discussion points as well.

“This was such a wonderful tool to use in the classroom that then flowed out into the playground. We are a PB4L school and the values linked perfectly. It encouraged students to talk to other peers that they may not have otherwise connected with. My heart was so happy seeing them out together in the playground and the joy they got swapping their stickers after break time.”
