Please describe your comfort level in delivering the more mature content within this kit My class and I often discuss online behaviour and what they have seen or heard about online so I was comfortable talking around issues with them.

How comfortable were you in approaching the more mature topics in this kit?

What was something that surprised you about your class throughout the teaching and learning of this kit? While the students could all identify with unsafe/unacceptable behaviour, we know that they often don't display these behaviours online.

“The idea behind the kit was good and relevant to students. I found it a little hard to follow and couldn't see clear links with some of the activities. However, I used many of them as discussion points that generated some rich class discussions. It was interesting that the students could think of lots of online boundaries yet struggled to think of offline boundaries - something they were also surprised about when I pointed this out to them.”

In what way did your perception of the issues relevant to your class change? How naïve they are! E.g. the scenario someone taking someone's phone and looking at her photos and contacts- the said they were 'curious'. Did not think it bad initially!

Please describe your comfort level in delivering the more mature content within this kit Actually talking about porn is not appropriate with our students- using the word porn. We talk about anything that is inappropriate- to them that is a girls in a bikini!

“Very engaging. Covered a range of areas and levels.”

In what way did your perception of the issues relevant to your class change? I found it interesting to hear what they believed was the appropriate response to bad behaviour online. Most of them thought just ignoring it and not reporting it would be best.

“It was very good and the children were engaged in the lessons. It would be great to have more resources that could be put into their books to keep for the future and to refer to as we continued through the programme.”

In what way did your perception of the issues relevant to your class change? I had assumed that my students were not tech savvy, but majority surprised me but some of the safety strategies they had in place already.

“My class was really engaged during the sessions. It was really meaningful. Some great ideas came up around the Ring, e.g. invisible people feel powerful, confident and they can pay people back for wrong they’ve done.”
