In our project I divided the class into 5 groups which allowed different children to take leadership roles. We completed the school's food bank appeal, rubbish cleaned up in the community, replacing plants stolen from a local garden area and grew plants to donate to local rest homes

A great kit - really inspired some students to do further volunteering and encouraged others to think about others rather than just themselves.

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? We wanted to be involved in and organise planting and clearing in our local stream so that we could use the area for a bush school. The area has been cleared and new planting looks amazing and we are now using this space as a bush school.

Our project that we chose to focus on was planting and clearing of rubbish and weeds at our local stream. The band's and badges were very motivating and we refused some of the high visibility waistcoat previously sent.

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? Good, other students apart from those involved seemed to find it interesting and also seemed to encourage kids to eat more healthier and think about their impact on the environment more than they would have otherwise
