What was the community impact of your volunteering project? It was and have been asked to continue being in touch with the local rest homes. The students were keen to help others, we then had cake sale to pay the school for the money we borrowed to buy the plants and seedlings.

“In our project I divided the class into 5 groups which allowed different children to take leadership roles. We completed the school's food bank appeal, rubbish cleaned up in the community, replacing plants stolen from a local garden area and grew plants to donate to local rest homes”

“I felt like the kit did not fit in with any programs this year and with the interruptions of Covid we were un able to carry the program out. The kit was not very user friendly.”

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? We wanted to be involved in and organise planting and clearing in our local stream so that we could use the area for a bush school. The area has been cleared and new planting looks amazing and we are now using this space as a bush school.
