“Reremoana Primary's NE's and Y1's decided to participate in the SVA volunteer project 2020. During the first lockdown we realised how many elderly people in Retirement Villages were not able to connect with people and so we decided that we wanted to deliver some baking, etc. to our community retirement village. After realising that we were not even allowed to deliver things or have any contact, we came up with a plan to connect virtually - by drawing pictures and making a video to show that we care. Next, we would like to keep building a relationship with the Retirement Village in our community.”

“This pack was good, we were a bit pushed for time as we were moving classrooms and did not have safe working space around the school but enjoyed it otherwise. Spent time cleaning up our wetlands area and our local orchard where we cleaned up rubbish as a whole school.”
