What was the community impact of your volunteering project? we have fundraised and made packs for shoebox christmas for both children and the elderly. We also raised money for life flight, ronald mcdonald house and starship.

“Really great at motivating children to get involved. The advent of Cyclone Gabrielle this year as it made a real life situation where everyone did their bit to help. Children understood how a collective group of people could have a massive impact. How everyone contributing, no matter how small the action made a huge difference.”

What was the impact of your volunteering project on the targeted community? They were so excited about the visit and the disappointment for my students and the elderly was heartfelt.

“This is an absolutely amazing kit and we loved the planning stage. However, it was so unfortunate that the retirement home we planned to visit to bring Christmas cheer had a terrible COVID outbreak last year and we were unable to visit. The children still wrote Christmas cards, but the experience of reading to the elderly, making and serving morning tea was unable to happen.”
