“Excellent piece of kit for recharging my car battery. My old one bit the dust and after reading reviews about the Ring 9 Series 8A charger I didn't hesitate to order with confidence.
Ring have really delivered with this improved product, compact and packed with features that don't overwhelm the user. Simple one button operation to scroll through options then once you get to the setting for your particular application you can leave it to work it's magic.
No worries about overcharging as it reverts to trickle charge to protect the battery and ensure you have a fully charged battery when you return. It has a simple display which tells you how much power is in the battery with a simple 5 bar graph (much like your phone).
Nice to have individual leads for either fixing onto battery by conventional means with quality crocodile clips or another lead with ring terminals for permanent connection.
Lightweight unit with a useful hook to keep it out of the way.
My only gripe is not being able to see the Amperage of charge but that's no biggie.
In all a very good product that I hope will serve me well for many years to come.”
“Early days - appears a very well made and designed unit. I have the previous equivalent model in use which has suffered a couple of failures (replaced under guarantee) perhaps that prompted a redesign. This new model is used to charge 24 volt batteries in a ground based aircraft . So far is functioning well.”
“Fantastic product in every way for charging and monitoring the battery on my classic MK2 Golf GTi. I chose this model due to its varied battery capacity sizes, as I use a non standard size battery, car has engine conversion and battery mounted in the boot, so requires the power to start, due to power cable running length of car. This keeps the battery at full capacity safely without compromise to battery health!
The ring terminal connection option is also perfect, as battery terminals are hidden under a false floor, so I can unplug, start and go, as the car is stored and not used daily or weekly!
