“Years ago I had a double futon mattress, cotton filled. It was a lot firmer and heavier than this wool filled one. We've been using the Sit and Sleep one on the futon bed for a while now and are very happy with it. It is softer, but perfectly comfortable and you don't sink into it too much. The lighter weight is also good for us now that we are older: it makes turning it much easier. The mattress is very well made and the sage green covering so beautiful its a shame to put sheets on it.”
“I recommend. This Original Futon Mattress is superb. The one teeny bit of synthetic/plastic on it is the zip which Sit and Sleep point out is a mandatory manufacturing requirement. It's well made, comfortable, and surprisingly lightweight: seeming much lighter than the cotton one I had years ago. If you want a synthetic free alternative to modern mattresses and can't afford/justify natural rubber or horsehair I don't think you can do better than this. It'll also adapt for seating: obviously!”
