The Skar Audio VD-10 D4 is a 10-inch, dual 4-ohm, shallow mount car subwoofer. This woofer was engineered to sound great and handle ample amounts of power all while maintaining a shallow foot print, which allows them to be very versatile in use. This driver utilizes a high temperature 2-inch voice coil, which in conjunction with its powerful, yet low profile single stack ferrite magnet, allow it to perform with dominance.

The VD series make for a great under seat subwoofer or for use in applications where mounting depth is limited. A competition grade pressed paper cone, high roll foam surround, and 2-layer conex spider allow the VD-10 to perform reliably for hours on end. “I have not yet hooked these up. I spent months researching what subs to actually get. I have a double cab Silverado, so I had to be very picky on what I wanted/could use. Once I ordered these, they were shipped and to my door in less than 3 days. The packaging was great and when I unboxed them, they were in perfect shape. I can't wait to get them in the truck. I am having a complete system install May 23 and 24. I will update my review then.”

“They came in a timely manner but the rubber surrounding/ seals did not line up with the subwoofer screw holes so I was Un able to use them and had to buy and make my own seal”

“Packaged well, decent finish. Only gripe so far is that the screw holes in the sub skin didn't line up with the mount holes of the chassis, but for the price I digress. Temporarily mounted in a 1.25cu ft. Ported enclosure (tuned to I believe 32hz) until I can get my under seat enclosure built. Running off a Kicker CXA 600 monoblock amp and so far very impressed by the sound and pressure put off by this shallow mount 10. Perfect amount of Bass for a little extended cab dodge Dakota. For the price(especially with the tax season sale) I think you'd be hard pressed to find comparable SPL and quality out of such a shallow/small form factor sub. If I ever get around to amplifying the speakers in my beater, I'd definitely look into potentially adding a second, but for now this sub is PLENTY loud for such a small airspace and the Alpine 6.5 components I'm using in 4 corners from a factory amp and pioneer deck.”
