“I bought this to use on my dog bed and my husband's workout clothes. Both smell better when I use this product in the washer. I put it in the liquid bleach compartment of my washer and it works well with my normal wash cycle. It does smell a little like vinegar, but the smell does not linger on the clothing after being washed.”
“My husband's cat suddenly decided to start urinating in the laundry. It turned out to be UTI, but the damage was done. Someone placed a peed upon blanket on the downstairs laundry shelf and didn't mention. I kept passing the area and looking for the source of the dreaded smell. I finally realized it was a nice stretchy fleece blanket that was neatly folded and sitting on the shelf. You know how you have that one blanket that you just really like? Not expensive, but just right for cuddling up on the couch to watch a show or read a book. I didn't want to toss it. The urine had dried on it by the time I found it and I couldn't pin point the direct area for a spot cleaning. I ended up placing the blanket in the bath tub and filled it just over the top of blanket. I added two ounces of Scout's Honor Booster to it and swished it around to be sure it was well mixed and saturated the blanket. I let it soak for a few hours. I then took the still rather sopping blanket to the wash and ran it through a regular wash with an extra rinse. Air dried. The blanket has no scent...NO SCENT left on it! I have a sensitive nose and if I can detect the slightest scent, I know for sure the cat will and may decided to use it again. All other products I have used up until this point have left a slight lingering urine odor on towels, blankets, clothing. I foster for a non profit animal rescue and if one cat goes on something, others will follow. This is much worse when you have an adult male cat that has just been neutered and his body hasn't gotten rid of all the hormones yet. It takes some cats longer than others to lose that strong male cat urine smell. I love cats but I hate their smell. I freak out if I smell the slightest odor because I feel like my home is dirty and gross. I worry about inviting anyone over or God forbid, going to work and having someone ask "Wow, so you h ave cats?" It's a legit fear for me. I have started adding one ounce of this product to every pet laundry load. I think most products are overrated and hyped. Many make promises that just don't live up to the hype. I have hesitated on Scout's Honor products due to the price. This one is well worth it. A little does go a long way. I don't know what's in it, but it works. Oh, and it also gets out other organic odors like sweat from a young teenager that seems to be on some sort of bathing strike despite the "soap can be your friend" talk.”
“This product didn't completely elimnate the cat urine smell, but it did help some. I made sure to add really strong scented detergent and additives, such as gain fireworks, and also fabric softeners. It worked a lot better with all of the strongly sented products. But with just some lightly scented laundry products, it didn't work good enough to be able to use the items I had washed and I had to wash them twice and add the strongly scented laundry products.”
“I have a 7 month old Great Dane and her blanket needs to be washed several times a week. I have not been able to get the smell out of it or get it to look clean. Your product is amazing! After washing, it has a fresh scent and looks brand new. And it only takes a very small amount in the load. Thank you. I will be reordering when needed.”
“I really like this product, I have tried so many different products and this one seems to really work and take the dog smell and the sour smell out of clothing and linens. I also really like that it is safe with no chemicals and is made in the USA!”
“I gave the scent 5 stars because there is no scent! Yahoo! This not only works for getting dog and cat smell out, but also gets that musty smell of ‚Äúi forgot to take my laundry out of the washer for a day‚Äù smell. It also made my towels super fluffy! Big big fan!”
