So I have a 5 month old kitten who had surgery on one of his paws and had to use the Yesterdays News for the litter (which apparently he didn’t like at first) if anyone has used that litter they know it doesn’t absorb scent AT ALL. Well, he decided to use my dirt laundry basket and hid this poopoo and till laundry day came around I didn’t notice that the clothes all the way to the bottom of the basket were wet (and where his poo was very well hidden). By this time the odor had set in and wasn’t strong but it was there. I never had a cat not use a litter box so I just threw everything in the wash and the smell didn’t go away, I washed it again and still the kitty urine was not just there but stronger. Did some research and came across this product and thought “worth a shot”. I had a heavy load (jeans, towels, sheets and other items) so I used 1/3rd of a cup and tepid water with a pre-soak (just to be safe). Not only did the urine smell completely come out, any set in stain on some old shirts that went in were gone!! A white shirt that is roughly 10 years old that I could really only use for bed or working outside had a few set in stains. I took each piece out of the washer and smelled every part of the item and came across this shirt and it looked brand new!!! So it didn’t just get out the kitty odor but set in stains on a white shirt even bleach and oxi-clean couldn’t get out. I’m beyond impressed with this laundry additive and will definitely keep it in stock at the house even just for white wash. Did a small test and diluted it a bit and used it as spot cleaner on carpets bc I have a 5 yr old cat who has tummy issues here and there and poor little man gets sick around the house. I’ve used resolve as well as an oxi-clean & hot water mix and had to scrub and scrub. Used this on the carpet and it was gone without a trace and used it on an old stain (didn’t notice it was still there bc it was in the corner of dining room) and it got it up and no odor from the kitty 🤮. Can’t get over how amazing it is!!!!! Highly recommend to EVERYONE!! Pet owner or not.

I had four dog bed blankets that hadn't been washed in ages. A friend took them home and washed them twice but they still stunk to high heaven! I did some research online and found this product on Amazon. I carefully compared it to similar products and I'm sure some of them do a good job getting rid of the odors and stains also, but I decided to try this particular one. I did wash all four blankets using Scout's Honor. Three of the four resulted in no bad odors and left a pleasant, neutral smell. The fourth blanket still retained the terrible doggy smell, albeit with less intensity. So, I washed it a second time. This time, no unpleasant, residual smells were left behind! I was very happy! Now the room with the dog crates is habitable! I'm quite pleased that this product worked so well.

My dear boy has taken to peeing on a chair on... Most days. While we figure out his problem, I've placed waterproof blankets over his spot so that I can toss them in the washer and not risk the chair. Surprising no one, these blankets picked up a cat pee smell that was not coming out in regular wash. I put 1 oz of this stuff in with blankets and the odor was gone in 1 wash. They literally smell like absolutely nothing when they come out. Anyone who knows anything about cat pee knows that is remarkable.

I figured as I was about to purchase my 4th bottle of this, I may as well leave a review. I have an old grumpy cat who has taken to soiling anywhere she happens to be if I don't pick her up and carry her to the litter box in time. Needless to say I haven't been around to do that or I haven't picked up on her kitty cues exactly when she's wanting to go 100% of the time and thus she's soiled a lot of fabric-covered things in my home over the past two years!I've taken to using waterproof mats (like you might put in a crib, etc) on my chairs, sofa, bed, etc. However, as I don't want my apartment just looking like a giant wee wee pad, I've been covering them with multiple colorful 100% cotton throws that I can also toss into the wash.Let me tell you, cat piss stinks, female, male, it all stinks!!! I've tried a lot of things and no matter how quickly you get a soiled item into the wash, most of those products don't fully get the stink out. I gave Skout's Honor Laundry Booster a try last year and it is now my go-to product. I don't even follow the directions. I just get the wash started with Persil detergent (because it also had great reviews for getting the stink out) and squirt a very generous amount of the Skout's Honor in with it, like maybe 1/2-3/4 cup depending how bad I think the situation is. I let it agitate just a bit to be sure all the laundry is covered with liquid and to give it all a better chance to mix in. Then I stop it for an hour and just let it soak (have old school upright coin-operated machine in our laundry room, so that means I just lift the lid and it stops:).After that I let the whole wash, rinse, spin cycle continue and dry it as usual in the dryer. I always give it the sniff test when all is finished and I have not been disappointed yet! I have some other products in the laundry room that are meant to do the same thing, but I can't bring myself to try them now, because I've been disappointed before-- nothing like a failed sniff test--yuck!Skout's Honor just works for me. So those other bottles will continue to sit on the shelf while I place an order for my 4th bottle of Skout's Honor Laundry Booster! And no I have not received any free product for my review, although I would love some:)!
