AUS-ION™ 680g Protein Press Set Reviews

4.7 Rating 7 Reviews
Handy little press but it kinda looks like it was made in a metalwork class. For the price it would have been better if there was a brand logo or something to identify that it’s a Solidteknics piece.

This is my first ever Protein Press, and I love it. So far, I've used it on steaks, burger patties, and toasted sandwiches. For the steaks and sandwiches I've used the press and the additional weight plate to ensure more surface area comes in contact with the pan to better cook. For the burger patties I used it to make 'Smash' burgers, but will also use it in future to cook the patties so there is more surface area on the pan. Being Aus-Ion, the set is fairly easy to clean up with just warm to hot water, and when needed, a wood spatula. Then I dry it thoroughly with a paper towel, put the press and the extra weight plate on the warm hotplates for a few minutes to ensure they are completely dry, then, I had a thin layer of the Solidteknics seasoning balm, and once cooled down, I put it away for next time.

My first Protein Press, and I love it. So far, I've used it on steaks, toasted sandwiches, and burger patties. I've used it for different reasons for each food, and it does what I need it to do. For the steaks the weight has made more contact area on the pan. For the burgers I simply pushed the press down to make 'smash burgers", and for the sandwiches it helps them seal together better. This set will definitely be used in my kitchen for years to come. The design of the handle is unique in terms of protein presses from what I can see, and that design makes the handle easy t grip to move it while it's on food, and it is cool to touch. I'm not the neatest cook, but I this set is easy to clean under warm water, and since it is AUS-ION (wrought Iron), I dry it straight away with paper towel, put it on a warm stove top for a few minutes, then add a thin layer of oil, and then put it away for next time.
