“Long-time AUS-ION fan here: I own five early model non-seasoned pans and use little else. I recently bought the 26 cm grill frypan to replace a 30-year-old cast-iron pan. I’m really sorry to same that I'm disappointed. The new handle design is a major step backwards in my opinion.
Compared with my original 26 cm workhorse, the handle is narrower (~35 mm vs 45 mm), has sharper corner radii, and is shorter. On a heavy pan, that profile digs into the hand during a sauté toss/pan flip, making it uncomfortable. Still a capable pan, but I’d change this to 5/5 if AUS-ION brought back the wider, rounder, longer handle from the older 26 cm pans.”
