“The SolidTeknics 22cm Noni Sauteuse pan in this combo set is my first Sauteuse pan. In fact, I’d never heard of one until I saw it on the SolidTeknics website. I’ve cooked a number of items in so far; steaks, stir fry, curry, Bolognese, sausages, bacon, and eggs. All have turned out great, and afterwards, clean up has always been quick and easy.
The 2.5L saucepan is great too, and I’ve cooked spaghetti, penne, and of course bolognese sauce, and curry in it. A great size for my needs.
The lid which fits both of these pans, is a stand alone skillet too, although I haven’t as yet used it to cook on. I will cook steak on it, and once it gets a little cooler I’ll do pan cakes on it.
The heat retention in both of these pans is amazing, and I have never needed to cook anything above “4” on my stove top which has a range from 1-9.
As I’ve said in other reviews, I’ve never enjoyed cooking; to me it has always been something I’ve had to do rather than some something I want to do. However, this set, along with the other great SolidTeknics cookware I’ve purchased is changing that. I’ve started enjoying cooking, and as a direct result of this set, I’ve purchased a few more Noni items.
