nöni™ Lightning 24cm Frypan Reviews

4 Rating 8 Reviews
Handle is for decoration - uncomfortable to use. Pan doesn't distribute heat evenly - hotspots and burns food, even on low heat. Pan shape is very off center - for the price tag you would expect something with attention to details. This pan will last and last - because it won't be used.

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, we’re really sorry to hear that your experience with the nöni™ Lightning 24cm Frypan hasn’t matched your expectations, and we’d love the chance to help. Our handles are definitely not decorative: they’re ergonomically designed and engineered with vented neck gaps to help dissipate heat. Many customers enjoy the solid, stable feel, though we understand preferences can vary. Our nöni™ Lightning pans are made seamless from 2mm non-nickel stainless steel, which is highly conductive (medium is your new high). Hotspots or burning are likely linked to heat settings or inappropriate burner match. A few quick tips: - Use a burner that best matches your pan’s base size. - Preheat gently: start on the lowest setting for a few minutes to let the steel expand evenly before bringing it up to cooking temperature. Each pan is precision-wrought and individually inspected, so it’s unusual for it to appear off-centre. If you’re concerned, we’re more than happy to check it. Please reach out at info@solidteknics.com with a side-on photo of the base and a ruler across the bottom, and our team will assess it for you. We understand your frustration, and we don’t want your pan going unused. Thanks again for the feedback — we stand behind our products and we’re here to help. Warm regards, The Solidteknics Team

A well made frypan . Easy to use and versatile: you can use the pan in the kitchen or out bush while camping . A great Aussie made product !

This is the second of these frypans I've bought - this time as a gift to my mother in law. She'd been using a 50+yo cast alloy fry pan and the handle was fell off. The worst part was waiting months for this size to come back in stock! I started with the 26cm Aus-ion pan and nothing beats it for searing meat, but as a low fuss, everyday allrounder for absolutely everything else, the Noni is the first thing we reach for. Australian made too!

Loving my new pan. It's a lot lighter than the original ones, but still great cooking. Same great no stick, no toxic surface that I love, just lighter. Thanks for making these.

I love this pan. So glad I could get rid of my crappy ceramic pan that was non stick for a couple of months. It was the last in a long line of pans that are sadly now buried in landfill. These stainless steel pans are so great to cook on and so easy to clean. The only adjustment is needing to give the pan sufficient time to heat up and they are a pleasure to cook on. I just wish I could afford to replace more (sauce pans etc). Maybe one day.

I have been a loyal customer for a number of years, own 8 pans of theirs…however they have lost my custom owing to very poor customer service. The pan arrived with clear manufacturing errors, which had not been picked up through QA/QC processes. Essentially there is a significant deformation to the base. When I first raised the issue, I was told it was completely normal. I pushed back as it is clearly defective and they acknowledged and accepted blame however wanted me to pay postage for them to repair ‘under warranty’. Had I damaged the item myself fair play but that’s not the case. I encourage any potential customers to go on the solidtecknics unofficial Facebook page for un-curated feedback on the company.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. All Solidteknics pans are engineered with a small concave in the base to allow for natural thermal expansion, but in this case the pan you received appears to have been outside of our normal tolerance, and we requested it be returned so our team could investigate further. From the initial information provided it wasn’t clear that the pan had arrived in this condition, which is why we first suggested a repair if returned to us. Once clarified, we were happy to proceed with a replacement. It is extremely rare for a pan to leave our factory with excess concave, and we’re grateful you brought this to our attention so we could resolve it. Team Solidteknics
