“I recently purchased the Hamburg Silver model. It is a very attractive watch, especially the dial which projects precision. As I understand it, zeitmesser means something like time-cutter. That's the feeling I get as the prominent second hand cuts through time as it makes its sweep. Excellent value for the price!”
“I wanted a watch to celebrate a career milestone, and this is the one I kept coming back to because of the dial. The hands and primary markers practically leap to the eye at a glance. The secondary markings recede into the background when not needed, while providing visual interest and inviting contemplation at leisure. The silver finish is lovely and the color richer than the photos convey, taking on more gray tones in daylight and cream tones under warm indoor lights. The sheen, too varies from satin to pearl-like according to the light.
As is common with quartz movements, the second hand on mine does not perfectly align with the markings. I am untroubled by this and chose the quartz version for it's slimmer case.
The stap was supple and comfortable right out of the box.
A German watch is also a pleasant reminder of my year in Germany as a university student. I look forward to wearing it for many years.”
“Solid quality, thoughtful and bright exterior designs. I would buy this watch again for myself when Sternglas increases the printed number of hours three times larger and increases the size of the number of dates two times larger.”
