The Sunfood Difference™
These delectable pitted Peruvian Herbed Black Botija olives are packed with nutrition and beautifying oleic acid, a heart-healthy monounsaturated fat.
Our certified organic, fully raw, and naturally ripe Botija olives are hand selected, sea-salt cured, and low-temperature dried for an extraordinary olive experience. Many black olives are picked long before they are ripe, then artificially softened and darkened with a chemical treatment. We prefer pure olive flavor; no chemicals, no preservatives.

I had a little issue with the dating/shelflife of my purchase. Customer service came through and remedied my concern. I appreciate their diligence and transparency. These olives are delicious in quite a special treat for me and my family.

Magic. Pure magic. Salads pastas plain in anything we love them. Sun foods are the best. Juicy and salty. Chewy and soft.

I love that these are just dried and not pickled! Great to chop and add to salad or just enjoy plain. I appreciate that they are already pitted.

These olives are super delicious. I'm asking friends if they like olives so I know who I can gift them to. Those who say "sometimes" I think are pretty safe bets b/c if you like olives at ALL you will love these.

I've been buying these since they were available, mainly at local health-food stores for years, and then from Amazon because the price had increased so much (currently $25 at local store), or direct from Sunfood when on-sale. There used to be more selection (jars) during the "raw food" craze of the early 2000's, but unfortunately this is one of the few/last remaining organic raw olives I can find. I've been using them mainly in kale salads, or with w/ avocados and kale crunchies, and/or hummus, or straight. They are delicious but expensive. Would prefer larger size/lower cost [bulk] and different packaging (non-plastic).

I absolutely adore these olives! They are so wonderful to snack on. As my friend said when she introduced me to them “After eating a Black Botija Olive, I feel well fed”. I also love to cut them up and mix them through my stirfry’s, pasta dishes, salads and to put on top of my hummus on toast. I do hope you will be able to continue to carry them. Nina.

These olives are great on salads but I especially enjoy them as flavor enhancers for my homemade nomato sauce and flax crackers. Just the right amount of umami! Plus they're healthy!
