“Don’t take this if you have any intolerance to Night Shade vegetables.
I took this product not knowing I had an intolerance as mine was very slight I never new.
I ended up in hospital after taking it, it gave me vomiting/ diarrhoea and the worst case of cramps in both my calf’s.
The worst is my heart stopped as the cramping went up my body.
I contacted my supplier and she in turn contacted Super Feast.
I had a call from Super feast the next day, and they were very nice and refunded the cost.
I do take Beauty Blend and love it.
I just thought people should be aware.”
“I bought this product mainly to treat my anxiety . Yet to see a difference as I just started a couple of days ago. Man it does taste awful but I can live with that if it helps. Should I be dosing more to help stress?”
Hehe, we have some great recipes on our site ;). Generally we recommend taking the herbs daily in small doses to begin with, this allows you to develop an understanding and acknowledgement of how the herbs are unfolding their medicinal magic for you. Start with 1/4-1/2 teaspoon per day, building up to a good heaped teaspoon per day once you feel it necessary within your unique body system. Doses can be taken as high as up to two teaspoons per day, however most people find their sweet spot with one heaped teaspoon per herb, per day. We call this sweet spot your "lifestyle dose". x SF
“I love these guys’ products! I started with Ashwaganda and ended up trying Reishi, cordyceps, now the Qi blend and Deer antler. The results are very quick. I sleep better, I’m calmer and have more energy! Also love the handwritten messages when I get my products delivered”
“I love this product but my god it tastes awful!! What can be done to disguise the taste? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as my sleep was fantastic on the few nights I had it but I can't get past the taste to keep taking it :(”
Hey Renee,
We specialise in powdered herbal extracts that have a 10:1 potency ratio. This means that 10kg of raw herb is tinctured or boiled into a 1kg concentrate, from here the herb is spray dried, sifted and packaged. This results is a product that is of significant medicinal value. In the case of ashwagandha, the extraction process produces a product that is very pungent on the palate and somewhat bitter. We celebrate these qualities as they demonstrates that there is a potent level of active constituents present (we don't standardise for constituents as believe in the medicine of the whole herb).
The taste of SuperFeast Ashwagandha can differ from some powdered ashwagandha products on the market. Ashwagandha can often be purchased from the bulk bins of your local whole foods shop. Here it is usually just ground up raw herb, which is cheaper to produce, it also has a less pungent taste on the palate, so will taste sweeter, but it will have less medicinal potency. An extracted product will yield greater medicinal benefits and a stronger taste. The price of the two products is usually quite different too. To put it simply, you'd need 10 teaspoons of the non-extracted product to get the same benefits of 1 tsp of our extract.
We have found the recipes below to be a great and tasty way to take our Ashwagandha. We promise, you do get used to it! :)

“I had almost immediate benefit from taking small dose (about 0.25 tsp/day) in morning. I'm much more relaxed and far less reactive when stressed - which, as a teacher is fairly regularly! My son took it (same dose and timing) and stopped after a couple of days as it seemed to cause bad dreams. Used same dose on my dog who was reacting by continually barking at a new dog that arrived next door. Dropped her reactivity and barking to a point where it is no longer a problem.
It tastes disgusting no matter how it is presented so have purchased a capsule kit and now make up capsules from the powder so I can swallow it without tasting.
Highly recommended.”
“After a hormone check (menopausal) with my doctor who was surprised at my DHEA levels, being right at the top level of optimum, I was thinking what I had been doing differently. Ever since Ashwagandha was launched by Superfeast I have been religiously taking 1/2 tsp per day. There are a few good references online about how ashwagandha studies have improved DHEA levels significantly and I am happy to say I am one of them. The prime benefit is my energy levels, no lull in the afternoons.”
“When I purchased this tonic I had no real idea what I hoped to gain out of it. After a few weeks of use I couldn't be more thankful for its effect! I used the Jing blend in my morning coffee and this in my nightly hot cacao. It wasn't until maybe 3 weeks later I reflected and noticed that I hadn't felt a craving for coffee (a chronic addiction I'd been struggling with for years!) or made a morning coffee upon waking up for over a week. My nervous exhaustion signs had subtly disappeared or at least were no longer overwhelming, and I finally found space in myself to hold a grounding calming energy towards my sweet fiery toddler (which is everything I was aiming for!!). It was a true gift to experience calm in a sea of chaos again and feel my body release its feeling of relience on 5+ cups of caffiene to make it to dinner time. I do enjoy my morning coffee again, but with a healthy moderation and never without a mushie friend! Thank you Superfeast!”
