“I have used Spenco Insoles for many years. They are of the highest quality. However, I want to write about Customer Service at the Insole Store. Recently I ordered some foam inserts, they arrived in good time, and I opened one pair to modify the left insole for my particular needs. After I walked on it for a couple days, I realized they were too thick and would not work for me. So I contacted the Insole Store by email. Reply was immediate: Yes, you can return your purchase. Yes, we will make an exchange. Yes, it's OK that you have modified one of the insoles, just return it, too. So I returned the foam insoles and exchanged for the Spenco Total Support Original, which is thinner, but completely supportive (because it's more high-tech). The new order arrived about two weeks ago, and I immediately modified the insole for the "hot spots" on my left foot, put them in my shoes (Brooks Caldera 5), and I'm a happy ex-triathlete. My email correspondence with Customer Support was completely satisfactory. They understood exactly what my problem was and handled it in the most generous, professional manner.
