Vitamin K2 MK-7 100µg 120 Capsules. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting & to the maintenance of normal bones.      Vitamin K exists in different forms – K1 (phylloquinone) and K2 (menaquinones). While both support normal blood clotting MK-7 (Vitamin K2) is especially valuable for long-term bone and cardiovascular health. It activates proteins that help deposit calcium in bones and teeth – and keep it out of soft tissues like arteries.   Unlike K1 K2 MK-7 has minimal effect on clotting factors at nutritional levels. That makes it ideal for people looking to support calcium balance without impacting blood coagulation parameters.    Note: Individuals on anticoagulant medication (e.g. Warfarin) should consult a healthcare professional before use.   - Contains MK-7 the most bioactive form of Vitamin K2- Supports bone strength and calcium distribution- No impact on normal clotting at typical doses- Small easy-to-swallow capsules – ideal for sensitive users- Suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans and GMO-Free   MK-7 is an bioactive form of vitamin K2 also known as Menaquinone.    Manufactured in the UK to GMP code of practice and supplied in innovative letterbox friendly and recyclable packaging. These procedures ensure that the basic manufacturing practices and prerequisites necessary for product quality and safety are being followed so that we can guarantee you receive consistently high quality products.   Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.   Earth Positive Business    As an earth-positive business Troo Health are working in conjunction with Greenspark to ensure we meet our environmental responsibilities including a commitment to plant a tree for EVERY order placed on our website. I take Vit K2 because I am on bone strengthening medication for other conditions I have. Vit K2 diverts the calcium (from the bone medication) directly to the bones instead of it going elsewhere in the body.

I have been diagnosed with an auto-immune condition for which the treatment is high-dose cortico-steroids. A side effect is that they leach the calcium out of the bone, leading to osteoporosis. I've been prescribed a calcium supplement but notoriously it's not a simple replacement in that form. To encourage the uptake of the lost calcium I've added the vitamin K2 on a daily basis for the last 18 months. Unfortunately a recent scan has identifed bone density loss in my spine and I've now been prescribed an alternative treatment. It's all been a bit experimental and I don't know if I would have been worse without the K2 or not. Medical opinion seems to be divided on its efficacy.
