“I love the HIVE! I wanted a weekend backpack but was surprised (pleasantly!) when I tried it out over a longer week trip. LOVE - the expansion zipper the hideaway bottom zipper for shoes the minimalist look on the black color option plenty of loops and spaces for carabiners the magnet locking system on the toiletry bag fits great on my back (181 cm tall) and stands upright on its own NOT SO GREAT - scuff marks on it's first trip itself (despite taking great care) lack of horizontal luggage sleeve (even though you can hack it!) the water bottle space is not ideal for me the secret zipper kind of stands out with the different colored lining weird fit to the bumbag (around the belly, would have preferred the waist) BONUS - my top pocket had a used Apple airtag on the key holder. Some weird mistake. Would have preferred if they could have shipped it with a new unlocked one so that I could have used it :)”

“I start with the best, the materials look strong and durable, the different expansion options they have, you could probably travel with it for 5 days or more with all its accessories, I love the shoes bag to expand it at the bottom. The bad thing, It's expensive, we are talking about the top price for a backpack and for this price they could include some other accessory like the Fidlock case which is 50€ separately. Points to take into consideration, I was undecided between the Hive or the Nest, I declined for the Hive for being of greater capacity for its expansion and it was not very big, but the pocket to store the laptop in the from of the backpack makes when you want to remove the laptop on a trip by the weight of the laptop it goes forward showing the entire contents of the backpack, so no dirty clothes to put on the return of the trip. ... if it is a very heavy or large laptop will force the zippers of the opening, I hope they last, that was one of the details that I liked most of the Nest model, the laptop is stored separately in the back. Another negative part would be its internal pockets, they are at the bottom of the backpack, so if you use them to put a mouse you will have to take out everything before, it being not practical to put on some long trip, it would have been better on the internal edges of the backpack. In the front you can put the Fidlock accessory (which should be included with the backpack I said again), if you buy the Fidloc Toilet Bag accessory you will not have room to put the 2 accessories at the same time, you will have to put it in the front pocket of the backpack or into the backpack. Another thing is the front pocket of the backpack, it should have some kind of zipper, leaving it open can get a lot of things in there, even the hand thief, if you take into a mountain trip and rain could have some water in there. Finally you can see that it is a very good quality backpack, practical and versatile.”

“One star less is only for missing accessories which have to be bought separately for extra cost. Otherwise backpack is the same as on video. Will test it deeper in December.”

“It's a full-arsenal backpack with hidden compartments, a lot of adjustments, and everything I would expect from a multifunctional backpack. I do have some doubts about the rubber(ish) lashes on the backpack and their durability, the lashes where you hook the smart packing cube onto for example. I expect them to wear out rather quickly, especially when walking in the sun. BUT they haven't so far so I could be wrong! The laptop sleeve is at the opening side which means if you only carry your laptop, the weight distribution is poor because the mass is centered relatively far from your back. Just keep this in mind when you have a heavy laptop. Mine weighs 1.6 kg and that's works just fine!”

“The backpack is really well made and super beautiful but it is uncomfortable on the shoulder and the space to put the bottle of water is a bit small. The next backpack should be studied better on the back cos while walking is too heavy and the laces on the front don’t help to unload the weight…”
