“These shoes went from the new box to my feet and then down into Coyote Gulch and other slot canyons in southern Utah for 3 days in between some major rain and desert flooding the first week of October. Fit and adapted to my feet quite quickly, handled the trail hiking great, and the descent in and ascent out of the canyons, with some boulder scrambling involved. They handled everything well, and it was so nice to have ‘water shoes’ already on for the in and out stream crossings. Not perfect, but above average grip on slippery surfaces. They drained really well, probably dried quicker than other hiking water-type shoes. Much of the hike was through sand, which collected and did not drain without removing the shoes and shaking out. No big deal, shoes are easy off easy back on. No pebbles or rocks got in. Overall very impressive gear, hot spots on the back of my heels but moleskin fixed that. My shoe size is 11.5 US but was not available, I could only get size 12, so maybe wearing a 11.5 would’ve prevented the hot spots. This was the only trip that I’ve used them so far, so I can’t comment on longevity or long term quality, but they survived well through some pretty exhausting stuff, and still seem good. The next trip will determine how they hold up over time. Thanks Tropicfeel!”
