“My husband bought this for me for Christmas! I have used it four times so far and think I’m actually already noticing a difference. The pain is minimal - it has a warming sensation and a slight buzz against your skin, but nothing bad as long as you’ve shaved before doing a session. I put lotion or aloe gel on right after and haven’t had any redness!”
“I’ve been using noom now for 8 weeks just on my armpits and I definitely see results. I think I’ll need to keep treating them once a week for at least a few more months since I still see some growth but it’s definitely not anywhere near as much as before. I attached a before and after picture. I started to do my chin as well but stopped after getting a burn. I mainly bought it for my lip/mustache area but I’m afraid to burn myself there. I just started doing my bikini area and also got a burn where the skin is a little thinner so I’m just doing the pubic region and thighs. I have light skin and dark hair so this product works well for my hair and skin type.”
“I think the device overpromises a bit; if you pictured silky smooth, hairless skin and never using a razor again, you will be disappointed. After 32 treatments (so double the "see results in 8 weeks" timeline), I have significantly less hair on all treatment areas. I have used the Nood on my legs (ankle to knee), bikini line and underarms. I have seen the best results on my legs - which I would say have about 85% less hair and the hair that remains is lighter and less noticeable. I would say underarms and bikini line have seen a 60% reduction. I believe these differences are because of the color and thickness of the hair on my legs verses other parts of my body.
Time: Be prepared for a commitment. It takes me around 40 minutes to do treatments on legs (ankle to knee), bikini line and underarms. This does not include the time beforehand to shave each area.
Shaving: It is a lot of shaving. Before my purchase, I would shave on average one to two times a month, as shaving really irrates my skin. So for the first 4 weeks, I had lots of razorburn, especially on my bikini line where my skin is super sensitive. However, as I continued treatments and more and more hair stopped growing back this improved. Do make sure to shave all the hair in your treatment zones, because if you miss some - it will burn off and it does cause the process to be more painful, as well as having that burnt hair smell.
Pain: I wouldn't say pain-free; it has a hot snapping feeling (especially if you missed some body hair shaving). It is however, significantly less painful than waxing or an epilator.
Eye-protection: Wear something to protect your eyes; lots of places on your body (shin bone for example) don't allow the device to be perfectly fitted aginst the skin and intense pulse light will damage your vision.
My results haven't been perfect, but I do think Nood is worth my time and money. I would recommend it to other individuals who are looking for hair removal options - I think its low cost, ease of use and conveince beat other alternatives like laser hair removal - but I think it best to go in with more realistic expectations.”
“Tried first on my big toes just to see what kind of results I would get. Very happy to say that I have no hair growth there anymore, even after a few sessions. I’ve moved on to larger areas (bikini and armpits). Those areas, although still have hair growth, I can see it’s coming in as patches and thinner.”
