“I’ve had a single motor electric sit stand desk in the past, due to heavy items on the surface it could no longer support the weight.
Since buying this frame and using my existing wooden surface, it has changed everything! It can even support me sitting on the top (85kg guy) although the engine sounded like it was realllllly working hard with that.
If you’re doing your research and attempting to find out what is the best Australian made sit stand desk - this is the one, you’ve found it. Such a great construction, heavy, solid materials, instructions in plain English, took about 1hr to put it all together (do yourself a favour... buy a drill from Bunnings for about $100)

“This a great desk! Easy to adjust the height and the memory pre-sets are very handy.
I have found some height adjustable desks tend to wobble when at a high setting, but not the UpDown Desk, it is very stable.
The overall quality of the desk is very good and the expandable design means that if I need to change the desktop size (particularly the width), this clever desk can shrink or grow as I need it.
The standing position has helped my back quite a lot, as now I can move and stretch while working. I have also found that because this desk can be adjusted to a lower height than my old desk, I no longer need a foot rest when in a sitting position.
Having a desk that has infinite, stepless, height adjustment is a liberating experience!
If you are thinking of getting yourself a standing (height adjustable desk) then the UpDown Desk is a great option.”

“First off want to say this is a great product. Would 100% buy it again and recommend it to others. The list below is mostly nit picks but I suggest them mostly as what can still be improved not "negative" things. Delivery was quick and packaged VERY well. Legs are super chonk and everything is going excellently.
Improvements are:
- Motor noise is moderate... but should be quieter IMO
- It's annoying you can't just hit "M1" on the memory setting buttons (if you do nothing happens). You have to press the up/down arrows FIRST to "wake it up" and THEN you can hit M1/2/3/4 for it to go to your desired height.
- Would be good if there was actual cable management in the legs / frame area especially for the cables that are included such as the main power brick and control cable. For example the cables could feed inside of / attach to the leg frame metal so that you don't have cables just hanging everywhere. Instead they'd all feed inside the frame then pop out down at the leg neatly
- Finally take your logo off the controller button thing. I'm hundreds of dollars here for a quality product, respectfully speaking, I don't want your logo in my face all day ever day. I've already bought your product, you won. Just leave it blank and classy.”
“Bought the frame and put a cheap hardwood top of on from Bunnings. Couldn't be more stoked with this desk. Three presets dialled in for standing, sitting and kneeling. The desk is very sturdy and has no cheap feeling about it at all. Definitely worth every dollar. Would never go back to a stationary desk.”
“I couldnt have been more impressed by the overall ease and experience from Updown Desks. Fantastic choice with the courier (Melbourne to Perth within a week) and they gave accurate updates to the delivery date which made planning to be home an ease. The buying and delivery experience was stress free. Felt a lot easier than going to the local office supply store and dealing with the hassle of their delivery. Assembling the frame and desk was easy too with the thoughtful product design and their useful youtibe videos. Its a quality product and I'm very happy about the purchase.
