So was very happy to get this bottle of 60 organic capsules which seem very clean and pure. Just olive oil and Astaxanthin and the capsule shell. Made in Germany, to HACCP standards, slightly different to GMP but it dentifies and controls potential hazards in the food production process to reduce the risk of foodborne illness. HACCP is applicable throughout the food chain, from raw material production to finished product distribution.
Most studies using this have been between 2 - 12 mg so this seems like a happy medium for long-term use.
Capsules are in a small dark green plastic bottle and capsules themselves are a brown red. Not large, they are easy to swallow and I have not noticed any smell.
Very happy with this product. Not the cheapest but for anything sourced from the sea, ensuring there are no heavy metals and toxins means it's worth paying for good quality

It would be nice if they used less plastic in the packaging though. Knowing that the brand prioritises quality ingredients sourced from Europe gives me peace of mind, although the fish-like odour can be off-putting, especially when you're not fully alert. “Bonne alternative vegan à l'huile de krill, je le prend oralement avec ma vitamine D et/ou des omega 3 pour augmenter la bioassimilation mais surtout je l'ai incorporée dans un mélange, d'huiles antioxidants avec de la vitamine E, que je mets TOUS les matins APRÈS mon sérum à la vitamine C et AVANT ma crème solaire. En théorie cela devrait augmenter la protection contre le soleil, les radicaux libres et les polluant. J'ai l'impression que ça fonctionne et que depuis que je met cette huile ma peau est effectivement plus belle (hydratée, épaisse) mais de façon générale je prends mieux soin de ma peau... par contre ce qui est certain et immédiat c'est l'effet bonne mine +++ Attention néanmoins aux odeurs d'algues et puis c'est orangé et pas rosé ;)”
“It says this is natural, well it would be as it comes from the sea - a totally natural product. This is one of the more expensive supplements and rarely seen too. Supposedly to help you with energy but never take it if you have a thyroid problem - i made this mistake, made me feel urgh for a few days and had to google it to understand why. You can get this in much larger doses - but of course that can cost a lot more.
You may need to take more than one a day then. Very popular with martial art and sporty people.”

En este caso, Vegavero me ha sorprendido porque presentan este producto de aceite de Astaxantina (eso es importante, sólo en forma de aceite mantiene sus beneficios) que además viene de cultivo ecológico, y de dentro de la unión europea. Ese lugar de producción es bastante nuevo.
La marca promete que el producto es testeado en laboratorio, pero no comparte los resultados. Debería ser fácil incluir una captura de los resultados en la presentación del producto, y esa información personalmente me inspiraría más confianza.
El tamaño de las cápsulas es normal diría yo, un poco más delgadas que las convencionales que llevan polvo. Es la primera vez que veo este diseño en un suplemento de Astaxantina. En teoría es más probable que se escurra el aceite porque las cápsulas no parecen ser cerradas hermeticamente, sin embargo, en mi bote las cápsulas están en buen estado.
Cada cápsula contiene 8mg de Astaxantina, una dosis elevada pero segura. Para quienes quisieran consumir menos, se puede tomar una cápsula cada segundo día por ejemplo. Depende de las necesidades y objetivos de cada uno.
El bote lleva 60 cápsulas y la fecha de caducidad nos da tiempo suficiente de consumirlas.
Como siempre con esta marca, llegó correctamente precintado y sellado.”
