We really enjoyed our stay in our spacious condo at Diamond Head Resort. Our condo had a beautiful panoramic view of Galveston Island. We enjoyed our stay very much. We will be returning.

This place is gorgeous, beautiful view and well maintained. The amenities are fun for all ages. Nice pool bar, great lazy river and the main pool is so pretty. There are few things that can improve to be perfect but this is as close as it comes!

I think we would’ve enjoyed the condo more if it were better maintained. We read the check-in instructions completely. It stated not to turn the thermostat lower than 70 degrees because the unit would freeze over. We left the thermostat on 74°. In the evening on Friday afternoon, it became very warm in the living room area. We attempted to find the switch for the fan. One light switch that did not turn on anything. We were wondering if it went to the fan and the fan was broken We even looked for remote control thinking that could also be how the ceiling fan was controlled, but did not find one. The two people who slept on the sofa bed were so hot, so we turned the thermostat to 72 degrees. It did not solve the problem but it was better. We were concerned that if we turned it down any further, the air conditioner would freeze over and we would have no air-conditioning at all. It was a worry we shouldn’t have to had. There was a loud banging noise from the master bathroom. I made a recording of the noise coming from the master bath. I made a recording, but the file was too large to attach. The noise went on all weekend. It woke up everyone in the house both nights. Also in the video is in the area in the master bath ceiling that started dripping in the middle of the night between Saturday and Sunday. My husband and I assumed that it was the air conditioner. We turn the air conditioner up to 75°, but it did not stop. When we were leaving, the cleaning lady was arriving. I asked her who I should report the knocking noise and the dripping from the ceiling. She said, “Oh, that happens all the time.” That certainly increased our frustration to know that it was a problem that was already known and had not bothered to be fixed. I would definitely stay at Diamond Beach again, but not in this unit.
