“The house has an amazing View and accommodates a lot of people which is nice. There were many lights throughout the house that did not work, they had some really old pots and pans, the hot water in the full bath down stairs did not work and there was no seating on the deck . For a house to accommodate that many people and have that great of views there should be some outdoor seating on the deck. If you are a family who has a boat and kids that want to swim in the canal this is not the house you should rent. There is no ladder to enter/exit the canal and there is no where to tie your boat up to. There are no cleats on the boat dock we had to ask neighbors we don’t even know if we can tie our boat up to their dock. The benches along the bulk head are great but need to have the ground filled in with sand of dirt so people don’t fall in the hole under the bench. On of our children sliped in the hole when they ran up to the bench. I do see why this house gets good reviews and we did enjoy our stay. there are some items that need to be taken care of to make it up to par with other rentals. We have rented at least 20 different houses in Galveston over the last 10 years and this one by far had the best view but need some help in other areas.”

I think the owners should consider purchasing an outdoor couch and chair set. You can get this type of set up from Walmart for a few hundred dollars. Other than the outside seating this house had everything we needed. We would love to return but may look for a place with a better patio situation for our future stays.”

“This home at the end of the street and bayfront has ample parking and room for your vehicles. The breezeway was very comfortable and the "Tiki" bar area downstairs was great for serving drinks. Second floor kitchen is very well equipped and spacious (could use bigger coffee cups). This made cooking and serving meals easy and the dining table and bar chairs provided plenty of seating. The living room was great for relaxing. The 2 bedrooms on this floor were well laid out and provided comfortable settings. Laundry room had full size washer and dryer. Third floor bedrooms were also spacious and comfortable. The outside fishing had three underwater lights on the canal side and two overhead lights with timers on the bay side. Fishing was great and even the kids had an easy time of catching plenty of fish. The only things that could use attention are the ceiling fans in master (very nice fan and understand now about trying to get parts would not be easy) and for some reason we could not get the fan in the living room or kitchen working. The door locking is easy as long as you know what kind of lock it is. Just shut the door and then lift up on the handle and locking is easy. Check in and check out was simple.”

“Blue Marlin is by far one of the nicest houses managed by Ryson. The house was clean and exactly as described. The best amenity is the bay fishing and location and size of the house.”
