We loved the location! We were able to sit on the deck and enjoy the water view. House was updated and looked nice. The only items to improve were not much supplies for beach or cooking offered and the main bedroom wifi was not very good. Overall, we loves it!

Make no mistake, the beach access for this house and the beach that you are accessing is first rate. It is less than 100 feet to the beach and there is no car or public access so during our stay over Memorial Day weekend 2021 we only shared our beach with one or two other families. You could see cars and people lined up along the beach on either side but where we were was basically a private beach. That said, the house does need some work. The deck is much more weathered than in the pictures. There are soft spots in a couple places of the deck. The house itself is clean but there are several cracked tiles in the floor. They are not unsafe but it's just a bit unnerving because generally a cracked tile means that the floor is shifting or unstable and you can feel the floor is a bit unlevel The large open room with kitchen, dining and living room is where you spend most of your time and the view and amenities are good there. One thing to note is the oven takes forever to heat up. In fact, we just pulled our items out and tried to finish the meal on the stove. It will get to temp but it takes a long time.......... We are looking at other rental properties for our annual family trip to Galveston but right now this house is at the top of the list primarily because of the beach access.

Nice house, a little run down. For $2,600 for 3 days I would expect it to be a little more well kept. I know keeping up with beach rental property is difficult but if a property is getting older is should be a little cheaper. We were unable to look at it prior to our stay because it was being worked on after the freeze. If we would have we might have picked a better property. The location however was perfect and beach access was easy. Also, the downstairs room was humid and the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Will rent again but probably a different property.

I’ll start with the good...great location. Less than 10 miles out the West beach from the sea wall and near two of my favorite places...Nates and 7 Seas grocery. Vehicle traffic was prohibited from the beach directly in front of us and it was patrolled often by the Jamaica Beach police. Now for the bad...roaches! I have a grave fear of those critters. The property manager should contact me privately and I’ll give them a family recipe to rid the place of those monsters. It was advertised as a 4 bedroom when really only 3 bedrooms were worthy of habitation. The bedroom on the ground level reeked of the not so sweet smell of rot, mold, and mildew. No one could stay there. So basically, I paid for 4 bedrooms, but only got 3. It rained lightly over about a 12 hour period and the drive up to the house flooded...serious drainage problem. And then there were smaller things...very few clothes hangers for that size house, various areas that were not clean, various lights did not work...some just seemed to be light bulb issues, while others seemed to be electrical glitches, gates were hard to open (suggest having some WD40 available), and ice maker in fridge froze over and then would thaw...definitely needs looked at. If those negatives get solved, I would gladly stay here again.
