“Overall nice cabin. The interior was neat and clean and very attractive. The washer/dryer worked great and was a nice asset to have. It was easy to get to (as long as there is no snow). Not too far from town, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet that nature has to offer. I would stay at Black Bear Lookout again without hesitation. MRG was easy to work with and the online reservations were great. I had my key code and internet password delivered to me just as they promised.”

“We just returned from our spring trip to Gatlinburg. We go 2x per year (in the fall and in the spring). We stay at a different rental every time, but this one may be a keeper. We had an awesome view and spent most evenings on the deck. There was a table and four metal chairs on the deck so we had all of our meals outside. The temperature at our home was in the high 80's when we left for Gatlinburg so we really enjoyed the temps and lack of humidity in the air. We used the air conditioning very little. We just opened up doors on the decks and enjoyed the weather. On the third day my husband decided to grill ribs, and we had a bear visit us while grilling. We have heard about people seeing bears before at your rentals, but we have never seen one at any of the places where we have stayed. I got a great photo. It was an awesome experience. The only complaints I have are very minor. There were only 2 dishtowels and 1 dishrag in the kitchen so you really need a few more. The only other thing I missed was a rocking chair on the deck.”

“Excellent company to rent from. We have stayed at 2 or 3 of their cabins, but this one suits our needs & wants perfectly. We have rented it 3 times and will return again this winter.”

“We spent a wonderful week at Black Bear Lookout, let me just say it's a steep drive (yes I know that's been said) and you should use your gears going up (if you don't have a 4 wheel drive). The view is amazing-so much sure you take your camera! The inside was very clean and up to date. Thebeds slept very nice and the floors were clean! We enjoyed the seperate living areas (upstairs/downstairs) and loved that we had a washer/dryer-I hate coming home with dirty clothes! My son loved the pool table and the hot tub (although we only used it twice). We did call maintenance one time to replace outside flood light bulbs and they were very prompt to change them that day. The only down side that we noticed was the lack of outside upkeep with cobwebs and spider webs near the front door and on the deck; however as I stated before the inside was very nice and no complaints in that department. The best part of the ENTIRE trip was our bear sighting on Tuesday at 1pm and Wednesday at 230pm-this was certainly a highlight and very unexpected! We named the bear Homer and kept an eye out for him the rest of the time. You will certainly have a great time at this cabin and I would stay again. The mountains are certainly a work of God.”

“I HIGHLY recommend staying here! The cabin was immaculate when we arrived! We appreciated the special note from the housekeeper, Luis, letting us know the hot tub was shanties and the time it was cleaned. The office staff was very helpful and efficient and VERY friendly. We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you!”

“The name says it all, we saw 9 bears total. A very nice cabin with a beautiful view. The hot tub didn't get hot the first day there but after a call Ron showed up and had it going in no time at all. Cabin was very nice, wood floors, nice decor, good tvs. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the view of the smoky mts was wonderful.”

“This is our third time staying with Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg and in Black Bear Lookout! My husband and I try to get to Gatlinburg every couple years and we always choose Black Bear Lookout. We love the cabin and the view is awesome. The staff is always helpful and very polite and we have never had any complaints or problems while staying at the property. We will definitely be coming back and staying here once again!”
