“the slat bed base is super easy to construct, is strong and durable, however the mattress would always slide and the pillows also slipped in between the headboard and the matress. I would be great to have a boxed base option as well. i had to return it and buy one from Ecosa.”

“It is really solid and very styly. The edge is right at shin level though, so it's taking a bit of getting used to having a bit sticking out beyond the mattress. Love it though.”

“At first with all the advertising saying Winkl was disrupting the mattress industry with quality at affordable prices I did question the cost of the bed frame and if that really could be considered affordable? I already have a new mattress from another company. It was expensive and I when it arrived I was underwhelmed. My children also got new mattresses from yet another company. Theirs were cheap and along with a new slat frame seemed more comfortable than my expensive new mattress. Although my mattress was new it was placed on a second hand frame that was bought in a hurry. Its creaky and old. When the Winkl bed frame went on special I bit the bullet and upgraded. When the boxes arrived I could feel the quality just by the weight. The three pieces to the base are very heavy. They fitted together easily. On assembly it was noted that there was a screw insert missing which was a small but vital part in the construction. I emailed Winkl and they sorted out a replacement panel and pick up of the one with missing insert super quickly. I can't quite believe the difference the base has made to the comfort of the mattress. Its life changing. I take back the average review of my mattress now as this has completely changed. I recommend the Winkl base to anyone. Solid, stylish, no creaks at all and it fits together very easily.”

“Well looks like all the positive reviews are true. We have had our Lux for 3 weeks now. The bed frame is very well made, different but great. We had a $6500 big brand bed that was giving us a sore back and shoulders for ages, I had enough and thought after all the reviews to give it a go. well done winkle very cool idea. we are very happy with the set up and the price. Very well packaged too and we gave all the cardboard to the recycle centre. Just be sure to have your mattress up the right way.”
