“My biggest concern with this clay target holder is that they don't hold the clays very securely. If you bump the stand, even slightly, there's an 80% chance of causing the target to fall out and crack on the ground. I built a dedicated holder for up to 16 of these stands, constructed out of 90x45 pine. Once I inserted all the target stands into the pine base I took a few shots with my .22lr from about 15m. The vibration through the base, once the bullet strikes the first clay, causes several other clays to fall out of the holders. If the holders were slightly more open and able to better grip the clays this wouldn't happen. Having said all that, if you just push these stands into the ground you probably won't have the problem I experienced above, as the ground won't pass on the vibrations and cause the other clays to fall.”

“Very simple to set up and makes a fun target. I use it for rifle at distance and shotgun up close. The steel rod is fairly heavy duty no issues pushing into the ground. I had to bend the steel a little to hold the clay securely for the clays I was using but it took less than a minute with pliers and a vice. Good value product”
