I have had mine for just about 1 1/2 years now. It is quite the beast. You can't fully understand how big it is until you compare it to a standard sized smoker. The first time you use it you realize how huge it is. You can load so much meat in it. I can do 8 racks of baby backs on top and 30 lbs of chicken quarters on the bottom. As stated by Brian below, yes there are hot spots, But, I am in the habit of rotating my items now. I only use wood in mine. I enjoy baby sitting it, ( which means checking on it every 30 to 40 minutes). It is not a bother. Don't get me wrong I have tried charcoal and it works well, you can get it hot as Hades if you want with charcoal! But prefer wood (hickory). The smoke is nice and never acrid. It is a true natural smoke. Plus tending a fire is what a real Smoker is all about! Would definitely buy another. Only problem I have had with mine is that some of the paint on the fire box came off almost immediately. I just gave it a quick sanding and rattle can sprayed it back to black with some 2400 degree paint. Not a big deal. We have a lot of LARGE get togethers and there is plenty of space for enough meat to feed all attendees, and then some! Great company, great product

I bought my Kingman in 2012 I think. I used it in competitions and backyard. It is very stable in any weather conditions except when it is really hot, like 95+, it will overheat. It has hot spots and cool spots even with the heat distribution plate but it actually comes in handy when cooking different meats. I have 4 temp probes in it and it varies some from end to end but it is manageable. I use a Guru but when the power goes out at a comp, it isn't a problem because I know where to set the inlet to maintain 275. It stays pretty close, great draft management. I burn charcoal and wood. I can get 4-5 hours cook without reloading charcoal on a normal temperature day and depending upon the charcoal I use. As far as cooking space, I can get 1 brisket, 2 butts, 6 ribs and still have a little room left over. Might mention that I use pans for the brisket and butts. One time I had 12-13 butts on it. Only problem I have had is the charcoal rack bent and welds came loose from the extreme heat. I took it to work and straightened it out on a press and re-welded it. Would I buy it again, yes, if I wanted an offset.
