I got this watch through the Mystery Automatic Watch. It was worth every penny. Nice solid build and really interesting watch face.

Decypher is one of the best designs! However, I didn't like how I was told that the white hour hand cannot be made more visible in real life situation. The white hour hand seem to be way at the back, which make it hard to see. A lot of times, I had to really look at it hard just to tell time. I guess that's the reason why it was called Decypher in the first place.

I have always supported Xeric from their very first kickstarter campaign and have happily bought every watch released. I recently received my Cypher Automatic Rose Gold watch and my Decypher Automatic Black & Yellow watch. Unfortunately, these latest Cypher and Decyphers are a massive disappointment. Don't be fooled by the readibility of the hands shown in the videos and photos on this page, and don't be wowed by the luminosity of the photos at night. The true story is that the actual production models of these watches are hard to read and certainly don't glow in the night like the photos represent. Usually I wear my Xeric watches with pride, but I’ve been a little embarrassed to show these new watches to friends and family, as they all say the same thing, “You just can’t read the hour hand!” The minutes are fine, but the hours are murky and it’s almost like they have been “pushed back” or installed wrong. And the luminescence is unreadable at night, unlike the crystal clear night-time images on the website. I wrote to support, outlining my disappointment, and a got the usual templated reply. When I pushed a little further, they replied with, "the video is a demonstration of what the watches will look like" but that "in real life this can be different." WTF?!?! I highly recommend any other Xeric watch - but buyer beware on the Cypher and Decyphers... they're not true to the representations here on the website. Bitterly disappointed.
