Halograph II Automatic Limited Edition Rose Gold Reviews

I really love my new Xeric watch. I always get compliments on it as it really stands out from your average watch. My only complaint is the initial leather band feels like lower quality leather. I purchased another stainless steel rose gold band which I am very happy with.

I love my watch. I was second guessing it while I was waiting for it to ship as I had also been looking at the Halo Chrono in the same colorway, and in my opinion the Chrono resembled the original Halo automatics whose design I liked more than the Halo II while I was researching the Halo models. But once I opened it up, felt it and put it on I was hooked. You immediately notice the weight of the watch and quality of the leather. This appears to be a well made watch. Reading the watch does take some getting used to and I don’t know if it’s this color way but it does not have luminescent dials/numbers so I can’t read it in no/low light settings. I am slowly building a watch collection and this one is by far my favorite. I’ll be coming back for another Halo II Automatic soon.

I looked forward to getting my watch. It looked beautiful and different. Soon, its drawbacks became obvious: the halo hands are impossible to see in dimmed conditions (forget telling the time in the dark of night). The hour indicator halo blocks the tiny seconds opening. The brochure I saw indicated (misleadingly) that the halos would illuminate at night. WRONG! The leather strap was not meant for men. It's very small. The day/night indicator is also very hard to discern. The instructions manual is a bad joke. Hardly any instructions. You are left to figure it out by yourself. Overall: A nice paper weight that cost me over $400 dollars. I'm disappointed with my selection.
