Trappist-1 American Moonphase Brass Green Reviews

4.2 Rating 31 Reviews
The stunning part is the watch face and the moon position for that day. However if the display is self alluminated during dark will be appreciated.

Having been a fan of the original xeriscope I was excited to back the Trappist on Kickstarter. The xeriscope is beautiful as it showcases it's best parts without clutter making it elegant and interesting, the Trappist on the other hand looks like it tries too hard. In the initial development phases the photos looked promising but the angles hid how domineering the mesh facade is on the face of the watch. The stars and moons add to the clutter of the face and the plastic divider for the moon phase really cements the cheap look of the watch. I had many friends comment how cool and interesting my xeriscope looks where as one of my friends joked if I had pulled the Trappist out of a cereal box. I feel the watch tries to do too much and it ends up looking quite half assed , hopefully next watch will go with a less is more concept.

Strange enough to be stopped at the streets and easy enough to tell the time.

not impressed with the watch sadly didnt live to expectations set by previous xeriscope and soloscope which are amazing pieces of horology engineering

I purchased this watch a little under a week ago through a promotion on "Cracked.com". I love the look of it, however the watch i received seems to lose time badly (overnight it loses about 5 hours), i have reached out for advice from the manufacturer and will keep you posted.

I traded the watch away to someone who had much more appreciation for space.
