“Excellent price for such a complicated movement. This is my 5th automatic from Xeric and per usual Im loving my purchase! I wanted to wait at least 6 months before leaving a review so I could see how it holds up. I wear it at least 3x a week and get frequent compliments on it. It's a comfortable watch to wear and it's very lightweight despite how it may look. It winds easily, quietly, and the power reserve is fantastic. The rotor moves as smoothly and maybe even a little quieter than my Omega Maison Fondee en 1848. The brushed steel keeps the look fresh as it's hard to spot a scratch. I wouldn't change anything about it, the design is beautiful and the complication is so impressive that adding anything, even something as simple as numbers on the bezzle, would be distracting. 5 outta 5 all day”
“My first experience with this watch was off putting since it had a rattle. Xeric Customer service got back to me and attempted to fix the issue by sending a replacement. The new watch still has that sound, but this time it's much more manageable. I would recommend this watch to those looking for a unique wandering hour timepiece, but understand that yours might have a rattling sound due to the number of moving parts. Although it took some time to get this sorted out, I do appreciate my interactions with customer service and felt that this company does their best to put in the effort on making cool timepieces and I want to support that.
So, here's my current feelings on this cool looking watch. I like that you can change the "watch face" in a sense; rotating the upper right crown / dial allows for the minutes to be swapped to one of three styles. The bottom right crown / dial is used for winding up the watch at the default position; pull it out to rotate the hour hand and set the time. The Ocean Black color scheme is nice and nuetral with a hint of green, the watch band is comfortable and compliments the color scheme very well., and the rotating hour hand is neat to look at per the wandering hour style of watch.
TL;DR This watch is neat and serves as a unique conversation starter. Although there is a rattle sound, I would still recommend it to those in the hobby.”
“Really cool watch. The wadering hour is a real conversation starter. The ocean black is understated and elegant. The only issue that I have is the power reserve isn't the best. If you wear it for a full day, you get maybe a full day of reserve power before it stops. That's really not a big deal though and I'd rate this watch a 5/5 anyway.”
